Hydro Excavation

PECCO provides hydro excavation as a service due to little disruption to the environment and damages to critical utilities when executing the excavation. Hydro- Excavation utilizes a form of pressure washing and high-power vacuuming to form a safer/ technological structure of excavation. Hydro excavation requires a water source with a 2” water fill source (Similar to a water truck or fire hydrant). With PECCO’s capabilities, we can mobilize a water tank or adapt to fittings for an on-site water source.

PECCO’s ability to preserve natural surroundings while penetrating various soil conditions, depths, widths, and angles is an immense benefit PECCO can provide for our customers. Our equipment can excavate as deep as 70 feet and 500 feet without repositioning the hydro excavator. PECCO’s mobile unit can safely excavate in tight, congested areas, creating minimal restrictions to excavating in sensitive areas. Our Hydro excavator has an extended boom that can reach 20+ feet from the truck’s location. For the safety of our team and the surrounding personnel, we can utilize our unit’s “remote hose” as far as 500 feet from the location of the truck. Another advantage of our hydro excavation service would consist of the process of disposal. With PECCO’s mobile unit, the debris is sucked into the truck allowing, the material to be disposed of on-site.

Air Knifing

PECCO’s air knifing application is similar to our hydro-excavation system but does not require water. Air knifing utilizes high-velocity air to penetrate, expand, and break up the soil to remove it with a powerful vacuum. The advantage that air knifing has on hydro excavation would result in dry soil waste, reducing the disposal cost for the customer. Some application settings that air knifing applies to include excavation around known or suspected utilities, pre-drilling location clearance, underground utility verification, underground piping and conduit repairs, and rehabilitation/ desilting of small diameter injection wells.

Water blasting / Hydro blasting

Hydro blasting is a simple process consisting of a specialized water pump that intensifies water pressure to remove material from equipment and surfaces. Not to be confused with a pressure washer, our hydro blasting system (also known as water jetting or water blasting) has a flexible scope and many different subsets to adjust for the scope changes and the safety requirements for the surrounding areas. The hydro blaster (also known as water jetting or water blasting) removes grime and hard deposits from equipment and surfaces due to the PSI levels produced. Due to PECCO’s emergency response background, our industrial service crews are available 24 hours a day-7 day, week-365 days a year, providing services for plants that shut down for maintenance. We can facilitate all services to minimize the “turnaround” time to benefit our customers’ shut downtime with our variety of services.
